Reading Specialist, Tutor, Creator, and Blogger
I’m Christine, a Title 1 Reading Specialist teacher, tutor, TPT creator, and blogger. I created this blog as a platform to share my experiences, knowledge, and insights about literacy instruction. Apart from being a blogger, I am also a wife, mother of 3, and an avid reader myself. Outside of teaching, you can find me at my daughter’s sporting events or traveling!
My Journey in Education
I have always loved teaching, and my journey began 23 years ago in special education. I taught middle school Special Ed for a few years. From there, I went to 1st grade and taught there for 5 years. My next step in my teaching journey was 3rd grade, I was self contained in third grade for several years. Finally, three years ago I made a switch to Title I Reading Specialist. Currently, I teach struggling readers in grades 3-5.
My Literacy Training
I have a Master’s Degree in Reading and over the years I have immersed myself in literacy instruction, and I'm constantly learning and exploring new strategies and implementing them. The last two years I have been training in The Science of Reading.
